View Full Version : My first call in and I SPAZZED!
SoccerMom

I am painfully shy, but finally worked up the nerve to call in. While I waited on hold I thought carefully about the point I wanted to make and when I got up to bat I completely freaked out!! My voice was shaking and I thought I'd throw up. I'm so embarrassed, my face is still beat red. Before I take my brownies out of the oven to put my head in, has anyone else ever had this experience or am I alone in my spazziness?

You're absolutely right. I stink with extreme prejudice. Thank you for letting me unburden my secret shame. (muffled sob)

Ah see if you were baseball Mom or football Mom that wouldn't have happened...jk seriously though, at least you had the nerve to call in. Most people won't even consider calling, so that takes bullz. Keep trying, the more you do it the better you get. And don't worry if you don't get on or if ya get dissed on the line. It's not personal, and it's fun when you kill.

SoccerMom - A lot of people get nervous the first time they call in. Don't let this experience discourage you. Keep calling in and it will become easier and easier.

Dont worry i got that "stupid girls" song played. But i was actually proud.
If you were the lady rebutting the guy going to Great Adventure on 9/11, I thought you were pretty intelligent. Call in again!

Calling is hard. I'm on the air quite often, but when I call I still get nervous. I don't know what it is.

Even though i live in D.C. i called in once to give an idea for the show. Well wonder boy picked up the phone and i heard ron and fez in the backround and i got so nervous, my hands were like sweating and the phone was moving all around my face. I can't imagine what i would have done if i would have heard ronnie say YOU'RE ON RON AND FEZZZZ, i'd probably crap my pants.

Thank you all for for helping me through my public humiliation. Boy, I don't know which is worse- my intial spaz attack or getting to relive it again on the rebroadcast! Coco, you should get a prize, that was me. My voice was shaking so bad, sounded like I was on the dragon coaster at Playland! Now that my kids are asleep, I'm finally getting that drink I said I needed. Really though, you made me feel better-even those of you that called me weak or picked on my spelling! I feel like I owe you all a nice brownie (Yes- nuts, no- "special" ingrdients) or maybe some nice Bacardi Jello Jigglers! Thanks again!
If you were the caller who said she'd be burying the remains of a family member named Bart on the 11th, you did an outstanding job. It was very moving.
If that wasn't you, I'm sure you were magnificent, too!
P.S. - For the love of God, please don't ruin something as perfect as a brownie by putting nuts in it.

That's not because your nervous , it's because your fat. As for you Soccermom - I know it will be hard but YOU HAVE TO try and call in again. Revise what your saying and then just do it. In the short term it might suck but you have to start somewhere.

Im going to kill myself OR DIE TRYING!
Until they get a clip of you choking on the air and play it anytime anyone else fucks up, then you can't complain.
I make a living talking to much scarier crowds than ron and fez, yet I can't seem to make a complete sentance in the studio or on the phone. Try instant feedback, soccermom, you don't have to talk and if it's not funny or pertinant, Ron won't read it.
