What video game haunts you?

What's the video game that you loved but you could never beat, or something happened and it got destroyed, or it got lost and you could never find it again and you still think about it to this day? Mine was Bloodnet by microprose. It was a cyber punk vampire thriller game shitty graphics, very cool story, a hell of a lot of fun to play but my dad's computer crashed irreparably before I finished it and the CD was destroyed before I got the chance to afford another computer. I was never able to find it again, and I probably never will. The fact that I put so much time into it and it was ultimately for nothing fucks with me to this day.

I'm really dating myself. When E.T. came out for Atari 2600, I was so psyched. I remember when the cheesy picture came on the screen of E.T., I thought it was the most unbelievable graphics. But I could never beat the damn game. Till this day, I never beat it.

Banjo-Kazooie, whenever i play a pretty good game i always make it my goal to beat it. I swear to go that fucking witch was impossible. So after about 2 weeks of countless attemps to beat here i just said screw it and stopped playing it. I traded in my 4 and now i will never be able to play it. It was a pretty good clone of Mario 64 and i should have beaten it.

i'm speaking for my friend but final fantasy 7. he tries to get everything in everygame. But for somereason his game won't give him the last enemy skill (pandoras box). he has tried consistantly to this day. It has haunted him and will continue to do so until he dies.

I was about to save the princess in Super Mario Bros.. After playing the F'n thing for 15 hours.. The God dragon squahed me.. I almost took a hammer to my Nintendo system.. After that I never played Super Mario again :)

I listen to much less WNEW than I used to!!!!

well i'd have to say "a boy and his blob" for NES, i could never beat that damn game.

on a side note, i'm taken back to a time watching my friend play street fighter 2 on super NES. he had it on hard because he had beaten all the other modes. then there was blanka, what a cheap bastard!! my friend played on him for about 2 and 1/2 hours. after the last loss he ran over to the super NES, ripped it out of the tv, opened the front door, and SMASHED it all over the front steps, all the while exclaiming "who won now motherfucker, who won now!!!"
