Last night at the San Gennaro Feztival, I met Tim Conway AND Jenna Bush. They were both (separately of course) just walking around the grounds largely unnoticed, except by my keen eye. Mr Conway actually asked me where a good restroom was, and although I'm not usually star struck, I put my hand right out and shook his. This guy gave me hours upon hours of entertainment growing up. I used to imitate his old man conductor character. Anyway, he was very nice, and I didnt keep him long. Hours later, when things were closing up, Ms Bush came up to our barricade and asked to get through. She did not i.d. herself, but just asked politely if she could pass. My partner was telling her that she'd have to go around (up the block) when i noticed her..i walked over and said, "whats's your name?" and she said, "Jenna". I said "I thought so" and opened the barricade for her, letting her and her girlfriend through, Jenna smiled and said, "thank u, youre very nice" as she walked by...and then 2 guys in suits and ear pieces nonchalantly followed, saying "thanks guys". I just found it interesting how in both instances, these 2 celebs behaved like regular people not expecting anyone to notice them, not expecting speacial treatment, etc. I hope I'm that cool when I'm rich and famous.
