Anyone hear the promo for Mets baseball on WNEW???
First they replace Farrell with SERIOUS WFAN sports commentators,
Then they start broadcasting WFAN Mets games...
Are they slowly turning WNEW into WFAN-FM?
Remember that WFAN-AM used to be the old standby WNBC, one time home of Don Imus and Howard Stern.
Can anyone imagine R&F doing a Big Ass simulcast with a Mets game?

I keep thinking of what Ron mentioned yesterday... Talking about short-lived TV shows, I think it was Fez who said of an actor 'having your show canceled was the best thing that could happen to you' and then Ron said 'did someone here say that to you today', or something like that. Then Ron said he's just waiting for someone to say that to them in 'four weeks' when it's a rock station. Man, now I'm falling into the speculation trap... (In Fez voice) What a re-tart! <P>

This could explain why R+F are on 10-2 instead of 7-11. A 7-11 shift would be constantly interrupted by Baseball night games. Perhaps the logic is the 10-2 shift would be prone to interruption only by day games. <P>

The morning show is now WFAN on WNEW. On sunday, the Giants game kept saying WFAN, not WNEW.

wfan is the flagship station for the giants, mets and notre dame.Wfan has a much stronger signal then wnew, the way the mets are so far out of the picture it makes more since to put the notre dame game on wfan and move the mets to wnew.

Well my 2 favorite stations are: WFAN and WNEW... so could this be a plus... though I think Richard Neer sorta sux, I remember Saturday Morns about a year ago, He used to do like kids sports talk, where like parents called in and are like "my kid plays little leauge and its not fair..."
