whats an easy way to keep a cd from skipping constantly? and is there something to clean it with that's like a common household item before i go and buy stuff and/or ruin my cds?

There are special cloths that clean CD's easily without leaving behind dust or lint. You can get some if you buy a lens cleaner, which, natch, cleans the lens of your CD player. Usually that's the problem...CD's can be sratched to shit, or appear to be, and they work fine. The only scratches that are actually damaging are ones that come through to the other side. Other scratches, like regular wear and tear scratches from Discmans or traveling packs, can be cleaned with a solution called, suprise, "CD Skip Fixer". You can find both items at all music stores, bookstores, Best Buys, Targets, etc., etc.. Good luck!

I've used a CD doctor on 2 cd's before and one of them was fixed completely and the other wasn't totally fixed but it barely ever skipped.

how about we all chip in and give you money NOT to put clothes on?

Anyway I bought one of those CD doctor deals for a PS2 game and it worked great. I am sure it'll work on regular audio CDs

There's a product that polishes the scratches of cd's and dvd's. It worked allright on a few games but needless to say, the worse the scratches the less the likelihood of repair.
