. . . than your mom. I think every child who was ever hit by their mother has this moment. You'll do something worthy of a smack, and she'll come at you. She swings at you, connects . . . and you laugh. She swings again, you laugh harder. Basically, you are laughing in your poor mother's face at this point. I remember it happened to me, I was about 7 or 8 and was fucking around with the faucets in the bathroom. She came at me and I laughed at her. I thought I was King Shit after that. Then my father came home and shit went downhill, but for those brief couple of hours, I was king of the castle.

My mom is only five-foot-four, and I was six foot by like 8th grade...she came at me to give me a smack and I just stopped her arm by grabbing her wrist. Then she got even more mad, told my dad, and he whupped my ass but good.

I think when I was like 12.

What does that mean? Are you gonna haul off and hit the bitch? Bigger or smaller, she can STILL bitch all day, and get your dad against you, so who cares how you measure up.

I too was about 11 - 12 when I no longer feared my mothers wrath. I was taller and larger then her and her feeble attempts at slapping me only made giggle.

I remember the first time I laughed in my moms face. SHE WAS PISSED!! She grabbed a ruler...not just any ruler. It was a think wood ruler with a metal strip and beat me until it broke. But she wasn't done! She taunted me..."Ohh you want to laugh at me?" "No, Mom please...I'm sorry...I think I'm bleeding!" "YOU WANT TO LAUGH AT ME?!" She ran downstairs where I thought it was over. My back was red, my ear was bleeding, and I wanted to cower into the closet. JUST THEN the witch women came busting threw my bedroom door with a broom. "YOU WANT TO LAUGH AT ME?!" ::WHACK:: "YOU WANT TO LAUGH AT ME?!" ::WHACK::..that happened 3 more times until the broom...like the ruler...cracked over my back. My Mom throws the broken broom at her bloody, scared, convulsing son and says, "DONT YOU EVER DISRESPECT ME!!" give me a parting kick and leaves me there the rest of the night.

We NEVER talked about it...but from that day on, anytime my mother gave me a whack I pretended it was the worst thing EVER!!

I don't mess with mothers. My grandmother threw a cast iron frying pan at the back of my dad's head when he mouthed off to her when he was like 14. It still hangs in her kitchen, with a gigantic dent in the front, and I bow each time I pass it.

I didn't laugh, I just hit back. She wasn't too happy about that.

And that's how it should be.

Mom never hit me, never needed to...if I wanted to do something I did it on the down low and she'd never find out so we had no confrontations.

11 or 12 probably. By then my Mom would usually give me the "wait til your father gets home" -- then I'd get the belt if I was particularly bratty.

But my Mom's greatest weapon was her constant nagging. That was more painful than getting hit -- still is.

yeah, it's a funny age. i definetely remember getting hit and laughing at her when i was old enough. she would just beat me harder though and then get my dad's belt to do it.

that shit was the equalizer.

In 7th grade my friends placed a bet I couldn't Krazy Glue our homeroom door. I proved them all wrong. The entire second floor had glue in the key wholes. We couldn't have class for three hours. It was great!!!
Anyway, I got caught; my father punched me on the face. I reciprocated. which was a big mistake. got hit a couple of more times and punished for two weeks.
From the day forth. he never touched me again. Oh, yea.I did win $50

my mother rarely tried to hit me. it was almost always my father. it all stopped the day I caught his arm and tried to lock it behind his back. I didn't need to hit back, he knew I could do serious injury to him instead.

I decided to "block" my my from smacking me once. I knew I could do it.

She said, "Don't you ever try and stop me from hitting you!"

Yeah right - I'm bigger than you. Get in my belly, Ma. I ate a baby!

I was around 12 when my mom came after me with a glue gun. Size or no size, I realized then she was just plain nuts.

My mom really never hits me , but when she gets pissed she usually just tries to keep her mouth closed from cusing up a storm and then grabs my arm. I usually pull her arm off , and walk away into my room. Theres no point of making me go anywhere If I'm already in my room. She would always use phrases don't phase me anymore like "Wait until your Father gets home" and "THATS IT! I'VE HAD E-FUCKING-'NOUGH!". My dad will only yell at me for about a minute if he's not there when It happens. I still am quite scared though of when my mom starts cussing a lot.
