Why do people try to act differently when you 1st meet them?

What the fuck is that? I mean, come on.

You act nice to a new chick, or a new group of friends at first, then you slowly ease into your REAL personality? That's bogus.

I strive to act like I ALWAYS do around everyone. At least that way, you will either like me or NOT like me for who I REALLY am right then, instead of my putting on a front for a few weeks, and THEN unleashing myself on you.

This seems very fake to me, but people do it all the time. Why? Anyone guilty of this? Anyone with me? Horde King, any thoughts?

I'm with ya Moe. I really hate fake
people. They're friendly and cool
to your face and the minute you
turn your back, you're
considered nothing but shit to
them.
It happens all the time. People
will do anything to be accepted,
even if it means not being
yourself. The thing is, it'll bite
them in the ass because once
they unleash their true self, either
a: the people who accepted
them will then tell that fake
person to go fuck themselves
because they don't like the real
person that he/she is, or
b: they will never unleash their
true self and eventually they will
lead a "fake" friendship with that
person. They'll always put up a
front or be scared to relay their
true feelings about anything.

I say lay it all out on the line
when you first meet people. Fuck
them if they don't like you for who
you are, or they don't even give
you a chance even after a first
meeting. Sometimes it takes a
while to warm up to one's
personality.

Some people aren't comfortable with the "real" them. They act differently, in a way they expect others to find more appealing.

Once accepted they slowly relax the assumed mask until their real personality emerges.

Other people, like you, are more comfortable acting as is and adapt an attitude of like me or hate me, who gives a fuck.

I think most people are somewhere in the middle. Even within the same person, behavior can go from one end of the spectrum to the other depending upon the situation.

Ahh, don't feel stupid. I wish I had a little more time that night to talk to you man. I didn't konw what to say at 1st either, but we only met for 5 minutes.

I was in the middle of canvasing the Mall for possible Ticket Sales to our show on Movember 8th at KROME.(shameless Morton type plug)

We will have to talk at a show event some time. Or hopefully, I'll see you guys again around the area.

And it was nice to FINALLY meet someone from the board. It proves that you people on the other side of the screen actually exist.
