5 second rule

During the daily Billy debacle, Ron mentioned the "5 second rule." Now, I've always thought of it as the 3 Second Rule, but regardless of that, what are your rules for food dropped on the floor?

For me, it's ok to eat it if it's on clean linoleum or tile. Any carpet is a no-go. It ends up tasting fuzzy.

i live by the 5 second rule, the dumpster i eat in, i wait and then scramble for the left overs when someone throws out a pizza box or such.....
