It doesn't happen every time, but it's often enough to assume a relationship. Does it serve a purpose, such as cleaning the pipes of any residual juice, or is it merely a reaction to the expansion and contraction of vessels in the area? And why does it take so long to come out? I assume that's also because the tubes are constricted, but I'd like a definitive answer.

I think it has to do with the fact that you're blocking off the path from your bladder to your urethra when you make the "switch" to your vas deferens et al. You don't really notice the fact that you have to pee because you're otherwise occupied. Plus, I hear your orgasm is supposed to be good when you have sex when you have to pee, maybe because your bladder is pressing up against various organs. I should be a doctor, or at least play one on tv.

I don't always have to pee after sex, but I try to anyway...it's just a good way to clear out any lingering messes and keep the pipes flowing clear.

Urinating after sex is supposed to prevent bladder infections particularly in women whose anatomy requires a shorter path to the bladder.

Regarding the why of urinating after sex, we had a lengthy discussion of this about 2 months ago, when someone asked why we can't urinate with an errection.
