Well, will they? I absolutely loved Appetite and LIES and the Illusions but it has been 11 years since the Spaghetti Incident. The wheels are turning already to shove this record down everyones throat and I am going to definitely buy the CD when it comes out but if the CD sucks and is a huge dissapointment will it still get over on the radio, MTV or whatever your music outlet is? I want to see it do well but I just have this feeling that it is a little bit too late and the new GNR will fall flat.
There is another band together (no name yet) which is Slash, Izzy, Steven Adler and Duff and I am excited to hear them. Apparently the singer from Buckcherry was doing vocals but according to FNR/SNR he is gone.
I'll throw this out too, $45- $70 for GNR tix this time around, is it worth it before hearing the record and can you really call this GNR with only Axl in the band? I am looking forward to seeing responses.

I think they let too much time go between the time when everyone gave half a shit and now.

I could care less what GnR's do now. That showing at the VMA's showed me how bad they are. I doubt everyone but 30 year old guys with mullets will give a shit about this new album.

And Fluffer, DON'T BUY IT! That's what they're counting on! You remembering your old faves, and wasting money on this new flop!

Yeah I'm still mull(et)ing it over. I am one of those who has so much faith in some bands (i.e. Metallica) that I will buy the album, weep heavily and then trade it in. Metallica - Load, I bought it 3 days before the release and then traded it back in before the release date too. I was just so upset about that one. I can't help it to be curious and do it all the time.

Well said. I saw some of the replay of that performance yesterday -- I was just as disappointed as the first time I saw it.

Is Tommy Stinson still playing bass for GNR? Did he play with them at the MTV Awards?

Let me preface this by saying i'm a HUGE GNR fan. But...

Nope, not gonna happen, never never never. I was excited as anyone about them coming back at the VMAs, but it's just too little, too late, I would even say that if Slash was involved it would do better, but most of the people in that band look like they belong in Static X instead, which isn't going to play well to their audience. I give it one tour until it sputters out. Sorry. And without Slash the album will not sound as good as any of the last ones. As a side note, was I the only person who LOVED The Spaghetti Incident?

okay... what was seen on the VMA's was NOT Gun N Roses, and I think it is a fucking crime to call Axel and his new buch of freaks that.

GnR was AMAZING... but they are long gone.

Axel's new GNR is aweful and will be a major bomb

There is nothing more exhilerating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there?

Yeah, Stinson was the one wearing the plaid outfit, and he's still with them...

Rumor is, Axl poo-poo'ed a Replacements reunion because he said Tommy had to stick around for the GnR tour/neverending recording session...

Not a rumor.

Not a rumor

Then Axl needs to take a bat to the temple. I saw Westerberg twice this summer, and the man is better than ever. If I saw a Replacements reunion show (Except for Bob, RIP), I could die that night a happy and complete man.
