Greetings Your Majesty, I question if I may.
Why is it that porn on the porn channel is edited out. I mean come on, who the hell are you trying to protect!

Child: Mommy, what are those nekkid people doin'

Mother: A lot more that your daddy or your uncle does.

Nothing can stop the Grimace!

Fezbian - First of all, I love your SN. Very clever

Editing porn out of the porn channel is like keeping cartoons off th Cartoon Network.

I blame Bush. Ironic. Blaming Bush for editing out porn!

There may be legal reasons why even pay porn channels are soft core. They are ridiculous, but I can understand a company not wanting to expose (heh heh) itself to potential legal liability.

The thing that really bothers me the most is that there have been no definitive studies studies showing that viewing porn is harmful to children. The studies have been pretty equally split, with the religious studies finding harm and the more independant and/or liberal studies showing no harm.

Parents concerned about their kid's viewing habits have to take responsibility themselves and not rely on the government to do their job for them.

Issue like this are one reason why it's very very dangerous to have right wing religious fanatical, anti-intellectuals like Bush in the White House.

Horde King, you disappoint me.
For one so intellectually
gifted, your political
leanings are so skewed in one
direction, it makes me think
you are not that free of a
thinker, but rather
indoctrinated in one school of
thought and taught never to
stray. Free your mind, my
friend! In other words, all
out bleeding heart liberalism
is no longer the flavor of the
day.

GVAC - You are, of course entitled to your opinion.

I am very much against anyone or anything that takes away personal freedom.

For this reason I oppose most religious fanatics (in any flavor), strongly favor capital punishment, and have adopted a general philosophy of "whatever consenting adults do is OK, as long as they harm no one else by doing it."

If they do, they must be dealt with expiditiously and harshly. After all, we live in a world based on the philosophies of Locke not Nietzche.

This does not mean that I beleive that my opinions are the only valid ones. Everyone is entitled to their opnions and one is no more right than another.

I strongly believe in the free and open exchange of information. This includes sharing personal opinions and ideas. I find that I learn more from people I disagree with than from people I agree with.

Comments, as ever are welcome.

King, I gotta come clean. I
was just trying to get a rise
out of you when I posted at
3AM. I was quite intoxicated
and feeling a wee bit
devilish. I vaguely remember
posting all over the board and
cackling like a mental patient
all the while. I do respect
your opinions, and our beliefs
are not all that different.
Hopefully this does not mean
we can't teach each other a
thing or two.

GVAC - As I respect yours.
