...can it work? who's had experience with this? i think it may work out if the break up wasn't really bad and there's not alot of baggage. i was just wondering what people think.

i have never really had the chance to do that.. but about 2 years i and a girl i was dating just stop talking, hence we broke up.. when we got back to college i went to her to appologise(sp) for the way things ended.. and she went off on me.. so i would say really think about it.. i

There's a REASON why they're your EX.fuzzybutt (as usual) is right on. there's generally a good reason why you are no longer together and, as much as you try to ignore that or think that things have changed, they generally havent.

i did this once, and it worked out ok because we hadn't been very serious before breaking up, and it was over a misunderstanding. but, in general, i'd say bad idea

for me i never "go back" not just in relationships but thing like jobs, friends etc. after a certain point nothing changes. there will be a brief period of euphoia when you first go back but it wears off fast!!!

I totally understand what everyone is saying about there is a reason they are your ex. But what if it is a situation where neither of them really wanted to break up, but circumstances caused that to be the only option, and now it seems the relationship could have another chance?

Ag, my g/f broke up with me because she found someone else. She was in Arizona and I was here, in Jersey. There were some hard feelings. I called her every name in the book. Swore up and down I never wanted to see or talk to her again. She dated out there, I dated back here. Long story short, she moved back here about a year later and we got back together. We just moved in together and celebrated our 5 year anniversary last week. So, it can work.

It can work. but 9 out of 10 times it doesn't. I have gotten Back together ex'es and It starts out Fine but never works out in the end.

I learned this the hard way a long time ago... I know that if an ex wanted to get back together with me, it would be during some moment of emotional weakness, and when clarity returns, you go back to dumpsville; so no more of that...

The probem with an ex... for me when ever I have tried to get back together with a woman I dated the 2 things that always come back why you broke up... and has anyone changed. If you have changed and he has to then you need to rediscover each other. you might find you will not work. If you both haven't changed then you need to look at the original reason why you broke up. Given time the only thng that changes are the people involved. But What was done can neverchanged. Did one cheat on the other?

there's only one i'd want to get back together with, but it's never going to happen. after everything i did, i wouldnt be able to face his family again, anyway, even if we were to get back together
