Alex Rodriguez should, and probably will win MVP. Even though I can't stand him for being such a money-grubbing phony. If he had stayed with Seattle, I think he would have had even better statistics than he's had this season.

It would be a crime if Miguel Tejada didn't win MVP.

Miguel Tejada and Barry Bonds. Bonds is a no brainer, and Tejada went ballistic this year. The A's lost Giambi, then had a monster year thanks to Tejada. I'd love to see Soriano get it for obvious reasons, but the Yanks still win the division even if he has a mediocre year. Soriano's year also shows how much Chuck Knoblauch sucks, look at the difference in the team with Knoblauch gone and Soriano playing everyday.

Bonds in the NL. No doubt.
AL should be A-Rod. They should change the award to Most Outstanding Player. It's not right if a guy like A-Rod has as awesome year, but the team sucks. When McGwire hit 70 homers in 98, he should've been MVP. Sosa won it because he got the Cubs to the playoffs. A player who has the most outstanding individual year should win the award. Whether his team is good or not.

AL: A-Rod/Tejada
NL: Bonds/Randy Johnson
Sorry, a pitcher of this magnitude must be up for consideration.
As for Chuck Knoblach, he played great for the spankees for how long? I believe he was clutch every postseason. And don't think they can't be compared to each other, for they both were bought! Fuck the Yanks! And Washburn will help.
Go Angels!

um, no offense, but that's kind of asinine, they won 3 championships and 4 Leauge championships with Knoblauch. I'm not saying Soriano's not better, but that's no way to compare them...
If anything infield defense has dropped sharply since losing knoblauch, Brosius, and Tino, and they've had to make up for falling behind with errors with Giambi and Soriano's extra HR's...
ANd the Yankees would still be in first without Soriano? well Texas would still be in last without A-Rod, he's sucha glory hog, and if he would have taken $180M from a possible contender instead of $250M from the basement, he might have a shot at a ring, and he'd still be rich, so Baseball should give him a nice warm F-YOU and not give him the MVP...

Knoblauch sucked for the yankees, they carried his ass the whole way. He was not great for them, his first season with them was subpar compared to his career stats, and he went down from there. They won in spite of him, his contributions were minimal at best. They carried his non producing ass the whole time, he sucks ass. Look at his stats this year, abysmal.

Thats a little harsh, but I agree he didn't really do as well as he should have, he used to make some amazing plays at second, too bad he coudn't throw to first...
I was just saying, don't campare the performance of the Yankees with and without him, because they're inconclusive...

Soriano was phenomonal this year and deserves the award.
They would not have won as many games without him as they did this year with him... and anybody who thinks they would have, stinks.

Send his ass back to Japan or the Dominican! His bats are corked and the steroids will show next year. And he will learn the English language by age 30. Perhaps he already is if you go by past players for that area.

you're absolutely correct.
AL CY YOUNG- Barry Zito
(should win but its gonna be "El Duro" Pedro Martinez)
did you not notice that there are more than zito and pedro that had a good season and is deserving of the cy young. derek lowe is the most deserving because it was his first full season as a starter and he did as well as both pedro and zito.

Right on Nellie! But as for the Lowe issue, no way. If it isn't Zito or Pedro it's wrong.
