I always dream about elevators

Lately I've been dreaming about being in elevators. Sometimes I'll be in one and it will start to descend faster and faster--Too fast to get to the first floor without crashing. I'll be really scared but it stops safely. Other times I wake up before it does crash. Sometimes I'll dream about being in one and just feeling nervous.

What could this mean?

This is probably the best interpretation.

If the elevator lands safely after almost crashing, it probably means that you are in a situation that can possibly cause you many problems, but ends alright for you.

The elevator represents YOU.

The elevator is a closed self contained environment that can be intruded upon or abandoned by others (as they enter or leave).

This may be representational or symbolic of something coming into or exiting your life.

The falling elevator, ever-gathering speed, suggests a loss of control; a feeling that events are spiriling beyond your ability to influence them.

Sometimes you see a way out (consciously or unconsciously) and the elevator comes to a safe stop. Other times you feel too traped by circumstances to see an escape and the elevator crashes.
