It's not a coincidence. And they don't "use" their middle names, or at least most of them don't. Like Lee Harvey Oswald was known as "Lee Oswald"...but when authorities release a suspect's name to the press, they obviously list the full name, so that's what the press prints, and that's what sticks. I do think, however, that Osama is probably fond of his little "bin"...
