pedro martinez-> 20-4, 2.26 era, 30 gs, 199.1 ip, 144 hits, 62 runs, 50 er, 13 hr, 15 hbp, 40 bb, 239 so

barry zito-> 23-5, 2.75 era, 35 gs, 229 ip, 189 hits, 79 runs, 70 er, 24 hr, 9 hbp, 78 bb, 182 so

i think derek lowe is the most deserving becsue he did so well in his first full season as a starter...

Pedro Martinez had the better season.

but derek lowe never pitched that many innings in one season his entire career before this season....plus derek pitched more innings than pedro did...and if pedro didn't get injured at the end of like every season he would probably be putting up numbers like that every season, it would be the norm for him, and i believe the numbers lowe put up this season aren't a fluke, he will be an excellent #2 starter next season

that is increadibly biased. that isn't how these awards should be given. look at the stat and the pitchers overall work during the season. all three seem a bit even. the only reason why i would pick lowe is because it is his first full year as a starter and he did increadible. if there was a yankee that was most deserving i would say so...
