PB & J Revisited!

OK. Afer starting 2 threads about food and CONSTANT Bacon talk tonight, I finally got off my Lazy Ass and looked for some food during a commercial break on the Yankee's game.

So I searched for something, and came up with Peanut Butter and Jelly! And it was GREAT! The Over served kid's classic returns! It's GOOD too after NOT eating it for years!

I made 2 sandwiches with Chunky PB and standard grape jelly. They were AWESOME! Anyone else into this great sandwich?

Can't agree with you there, Moe, I was never into PB&J. I know that makes me a freak, but I always hated peanutbutter. I like it in candy & whatnot, but the spreadable kind always gave me the heaves.

You just can't beat the Ol' standby PB&J for a quick fix.
It's great on lightly toasted bread or a bagel too.

I usually buy creamy, but sometimes i'm in the mood for chucky Peanutbutter.

I ALWAYS get stawberry jelly!!

Crap! That's what I forgot to pick up at the supermarket this week.

Don't forget PB and Banana! My grandmother would make me those sandwiches and my mother thought that she was insane! I also like my peanut butter on potato chips (habit I got from my father). Try it, it's not bad.

I'll go for any type of jelly or preserves, except peach. Never developed a fondness for peach.

PBJ does rock. my only qualm is that it takes a good 3 and a half minutes to make it, and maybe 40 seconds to eat it. I really have to be in the mood for it to be worth the effort.

i call it peanut butter and jelly, but i only use jam. jelly has more of a jello consistency, while jam spreads smoother. jam it is! <P>

Peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches are great! I seem to have one about once a week or so without any intention of it. When i'm hungry and there is nothing else that looks too good i always get pb and j sandwich, then i realized i just should of had it in the first place. But i love something else MUCH more. Hawkwiches are the absolute best, i got it from Hawk on the 2nd season of Tough Enough. Its 2 waffles with chunky peanut butter in the middle, i could go for one right now...

Maybe it was just me but I was never big on peanut butter and jelly. I never asked my mom to make it and she never packed it in my lunches. I tried it a few times when my friends moms served it and ate it just to make her feel good about her sandwich making abilities, but I never saw what was so great about it.
