Do all white cats act the same?

That is my question? It is either because he loves the hell out of me or because I rescued him because he was abuseed or both even. I just wonder if mine is super extra friendly or if white cats (I believe they are called Angora) in general are all really really clingy and have the habits of a dog. I mean Dallas (whitey in question) is just so close to me. He follows me around everywhere, he is constantly underfoot, he always sleeps with me, purrs all the time and is just like a Siamese Twin. Not that I am complaining but I figure there has to be some other cat lovers out there who could add to this or give me some info.

I'm just glad this isnt a racist thread from the 70's...anywho...my cat very much believes that she is a dog. Comes running to me when i come home, constantly asking to play or some other form of attention. She is not white, she's gray. Sort of a russian blue with very light tiger markings. and she's 8 years old. so..there goes that theory.

Sounds like you simply have an affectionate cat. As far as all white cats acting that way, I don't believe that is a normal trait. Though I have heard that a large number of all-white cats are born deaf (due to some kind of genetic issue).

All cats don't act alike. But my experience has been, they're not aloof, they want to be around you or run ahead of you (possibly trying to trip you) they can fetch when they feel like it, they respond when you talk to them and they loooove to play sheets! <P>

Nope, they are not all like that at all. My friend has a white cat and it's the most pissed off cat on the face of the earth. It hates everyone even the owners.
