Yeah, I wanted to start a thread here on this band which I think is absolutely amazing and wondering if anyone else on the board has heard of or likes them. I got the new record Caution last week and it holds up to their other records and is one of the best I have heard this year. It is a great record and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys straight out rock and roll filled with emotion and a indie/punk rock vibe.
They are playing NYC on Sunday I think and Old Bridge on Saturday. Anyone going? I will be there.
Their sound is like no other band I have heard (except for maybe Leatherface or Jawbreaker) and they just rock.
Check it out!

Hey fluffernutter, do you like archers of loaf? there is kind of a indie to punk similarity between archers and hwm, infact thats how i first got into hwm.

I was really into Hot Water Music a few years ago... about the same time i was listening to bands like Lifetime and Descendants... Sparta have my attention right about now

I tried hard to get into Sparta but it just didn't click. I like The Mars Volta better. Nothing will ever be At The Drive-In, ever!

I live and breath Vagrant records.. and Victory records. I saw sparta on their first live tour when they came on tour with weezer and dashboard confessional.. waht a day. Amazing live, great recorded, but not quite at the drive in. I also happen to LOVE Hot Water Music... indie is the thing now.
