I use to wake up at 4:45 and catch the bus at 5:30 then walk up the long Allwood Road hill to get to my old job before 6:30. Luckily there's a Dunkin Donuts right behind my job. So I would assume coffee would be a great factor as well as non-stop working or movement.

I get up at 6:30 to get to Programming class on time every day and i've found that a drink called a "Red-eye" helps in the morning. It's dark coffee with a three shots of Espresso in it. Plenty of sugar and no milk will wake you right up. Beyond coffee, it's all a matter of getting your body clock adjusted properly.

Some times when I work the soaps we start at 4 am ... if we are doing a stunt it can be a 12 hour shoot. But the nice thing is that it is free food!!!!

I've been getting up every day at 5:30 for about 4 years now. I have to be at work at 7 and its an hour away. Fig, its soooo hard. I am still not used to it yet. I don't think I ever will be. I usually end up falling asleep at 9 or 10 and on weekends its so hard to go out at night because Im still exhausted. ugh I hate my life.

As for how I do this? I have no idea...I just have no other choice.

I do it because I have to pay my rent and bills, otherwise I would sleep during the day and stay up all night.

MORNINGS SUCK!! -- Except Saturday and Sunday when you can wake and bake and then go back to sleep. :)

Yes you will, when people are potheads like you are, they have to support their habit....so you will have no choice but to wake up early everyday just so you can smoke. No more naps like in college-get ready for the real world.

It sucks believe me. I have never been a morning person and never will be. I end up sleeping until 2PM on weekends to make up for the lack of sleep.

3-4 times a week I have to wake up at 6 AM...it's just a matter of getting 6-7 hours of sleep...at about 9 PM I go and work out for 30-45 minutes, and then I'm ready to pass out...

The getting up isnt much of the problem for me it is the damn commute. I cant stand to be on the friggin train for more than an hour and I have to spend like an hour and 15 min each way I need a job on the west side. Plus I need a job that I like.

I know the pieces fit cause watch them fall away no fault none to blame doesnt mean I dont desire to point the finger blame the other watch the temple topple over...

How about those people who get up early in the morning and jog?

I used to work with a lady who went to the YMCA at 5:30 a.m. and swam laps every morning.

It's not that I am lazy - it's just that I have energy at the wrong time of the day. I can easily exercise at 8:00 pm.

I still have no idea either.

I get up at 7am everyday and I
know some of you get up earlier.
I dont know how you guys do it, I
have problems with 7am. Next
week I start my new job which is
literally 2 minutes away from me.
I have to be there for 8am so I
can roll out of bed at 7:30 and
still be on time. Commuting
sucks! My last day of an hour
commute tomorrow! All I can say
is the rumble strip on the side of
the Turnpike saved my life
numerous times nodding out.

When I first started working for the MTA, I worked AM's. My average day started between 5 and 6AM. Once I had to wake up at 2:30 in the morning to be at Grand Central Station at 5AM. I was shaving and my brother was coming home from being out the night before. That was the first time I really had to think about what the hell I was doing. Now at least I work lousy afternoon to night shifts.

Fig, I work at a bar 2 nights a week. I come home at 2:30am only to wake up at 5:30. It's like a natural high after a while. Try excersizing when you get up... a few situps, pushups, maybe a batch or two.
