The man is funny! He gets nowhere near enough recognition. From the absolutely hilarious Get a Life, one of the funniest sitcoms ever, IMHO, to Cabin Boy, to his brilliant turn in There's Something about Mary, he just can't seem to break. He's been at it a long time, he should be huge. I had this conversation with a guy recently, and he said it was because America has trouble accepting his super self-deprecating style. I don't know about all that, I know I piss myself every time I see him. I think he is an absolute genius, no shit.

He was great on Letterman as "The Regulator Guy" and as "Chris Elliot, Jr."

Too bad he was on what was hands-down the worst season of SNL EVER.
But you're right, "Get A Life" ranks right behind "The Simpsons" and "Newsradio" as my favorite sitcom of all time...

He is one of the funniest ever. Aside from the Star Wars movies, Cabin Boy is the only movie I've ever seen twice in the theater. Sad. Get a life is one of the funniest shows ever.

I absolutely loved "Get A Life". TV Land has a book that lists the 100 greatest television episodes of all time, and the episode with Spewy the alien is one of them. If you think watching the show is hysterical, you have to read the scene-by-scene description of this episode. It's just so bizarre and creative, and by reading the description, I picked up things that I hadn't even noticed when I watched it on tv. Also, Suncoast Video has all the episodes of "Get A Life" available on videotape. I picked up the episode with Spewy, and I still laugh my ass off everytime I watch it.

Oh, by the way, which one's pinky?

Does anyone else remember him as "The Man Under the Seats" on Letterman??? "I see you Dave...I seeee youuuu" (as he slowly shut the trap door on himself)....Hilarious. Thats when I knew he'd be big...still waiting I guess, but he deserves it.

I remember one episode of his show when he tried to bribe a cop with a handful of change. whenever i tip somone or have one of those situations where a lil' money would help me acomplish my goals i think of the scene and wonder if the change thing would work 8 P

Actually, Farley and Sandler were still there, as was Spade and Myers. That was the biggest problem, was that the show was too "big". Biggest cast ever, in terms of size, and that it had memebers who were more famous than the hosts, AND all the new people were recognizable and not unknown. Garofalo, Elliot, Michael McKean, Mark McKinney...too much too fast.

i love that episode where he offers the cop the handful of change. How about the episode with Martin Mull? That was so friggin' hysterical. He looked like a freak in Scary Movie 2. Sadly, he was the only decent thing about that bomb.
