Have you ever witnessed a horrible car accident?

Yesterday I witnessed something I wish I never did. Just as I was leaving my school parking lot, I was changing a cd before I drove off. I heard a loud bang, looked up and right in front of me, there were these two cars spinning. If anyone has ever seen an accident like this you would know how scarey that sound is. Well they must have been doing 50 because it was messy. At my school the roads have sharp turns and boulders along the sides of the road. Well one car wrapped around one of these boulders and the guy wasn't moving. In the other car, the guy hit the windshield, and when he got out he had all glass on his face covered in blood. I went to help him and he layed on the grass in shock. By that time, there were so many people around and the security guards were directing people to leave as the cops and ambulance were coming. I just really hope they are alright. I hate seeing what damage a car can do to someone. Has anyone ever seen something bad like this?

All the time, when I lived in Bangkok. Traffic there is a nightmare. People complain about traffic here, but they're spoiled. Traffic is taking 6 hours to travel the 18 miles between your school and your apartment. And the people there drove like maniacs, especially the mottorcycle guys. Every week, we'd pass some schmuck who plowed headfirst into car/khlong(canal)/wall/bus/truck and was just splattered everywhere. Worst was aa car that had hit a telephone poll at full speed. You could see a body a good 15 feet away in the grass, covered up, a big bloody hole in the windshield...and a severed bloody hand caught on the hood ornament. Mmmmmm, mmmmmm good.

I watched a car flip over on the deegan. It was funny. Kinda like a movie. The guy got out and was like "what the fuck just happened" he was actually laughing....he wasnt the cause of it flipping either...so kid hit him from behind and forced him into the barrier

I once saw 2 drunk kids just swerve off and crash into a tree. It was pretty sad because one of them got hurt and then other kid was just sitting by the car crying.

I was driveing behind a black explorer and it went over the yellow line like it was making a left turn but there was no road to turn onto. It just went into oncoming traffic. The car that the explorer hit tried to swerve around it by cutting into my lane scareing the shit out of me but he didn''t have enough time to avoid the crash. It was very bad. As I was filling out the police report they were loading the guy from the car into the ambulance, and the people from the explorer were laying in the grass crying. <P>

Yeah, I saw a pretty bad one, from a "vantage point of view" if you will...

I was 19, I was back home in the Canary Islans riding my bike down the road doing about 70mph, when an oncomming car (a f*cking british tourist) decided that he could just turn to his left (right over my lane) in to a pictoresc souvenir shop...

The result... I salammed into his (rented) suzuki "SUV", broke my collar bone, a few bruised ribs, a broken left foot, my whole face scarred up, a masshed-up left pinky , two weeks at the hospital, and two months in bed after that for rehabilitation... Not a pretty picture.

After that I collected the insurance money, which was barely enough to replace my bike, and started riding again. ;-)

And I still ride to this day.

No seriously, when i was 7 i was walking into the movie theaters with my family, my mom had gone in to get the tickets just before we went in and she was coming outside to meet us and a car just came really fast and hit her, i saw the whole thing. She broke her back. I was horrifying to watch, especially at such a younf age

The worst I ever saw was a motorcycle rear end a big old Plymouth. The car was stopped in the left lane of the thruway and the bike hit the stopped car when we were right next to the bike. (the guy on the bike must have fallen asleep, or was doped up or something)he flew as high as the signs on the thruway and hit the pavement hard. I'll never forget that one. The worst accident I ever saw though was an airplane crash out in East Moriches, LI. This guy crashed straight in from better than 500' above the ground. There were about 10 of us trying to cut him out of the wreckage, but he was dead instantly. I still get chills thinking about it.

Back in High school, I was dropping a friend off at his house... asI was leaving his neighborhood this "popular" girlin her new Camaro Z28 came up behind me and cut me off, nearly hitting me. Ohh how I wished she hit me, it would have prevented what followed.....

She cut me off at a light and went left, I was going the same direction so I followed. She sped up and I lost sight of her. half a mile up the road there was an intersection over a "parkway" where you could get on and off the parkway. Anyway, I see her speeding comming down the opposite direction (she had made a U-turn), she was going damn fast at least 60 and this was a residential street, the cars exiting the "parkway" had just got their green to turn into the intersection (I was wating at the light to go onto the parkway) and as the first car entered the intersection, she plowed right into it at 60+ miles an hour. I saw the driver fly out of his car and land about 10 feet away, and the girl in her camaro went over the embankment and crashed into a tree. several people jumped out to help and a few had cell phones and were calling 9-11,so I just drive past,and I saw the guy lying beside his car unconcious and convulsing. a few minutes later, I saw a rescue chopper circling the area....

next day I found out the guy died, and the girl didn't get into very much trouble, cause the guy was not wearing his seat belt. her camor was replaced with a chevy Lumina if I remember correctly.

I wonder if since I was a witness, I was required to stay and give a statement to the cops. I dont know.

... I was with my friend outside his house one time. The street he was living on was quite busy, and at the time, a guy had gone to his parked car across the street and had his door open. My friend and I were not paying attention much, and as we talked, we heard a motorcycle, and then saw it racing down the street, hit the open door, and saw the guy fly down the street sans bike. Not only had he taken out the door and destroyed his bike, he proceeded to die. <P>

I watched some idiot on a Yamaha R1 motorcycle try to tap his front wheel on the bumper of the car in front of him. He caught the bumper and ran up the back of the car, it was bad, the kid was pretty mangled and dead at the end of it.
