He's not a military trained sniper. I was in the Marines and you should have seen all the "good ole Boys" from down soth that were shooting at the range as experts right from the start all the do is shoot stuff down there.

An embittered, disgruntled applicant to a local police agency (we have a shitload of them down here)who was rejected (probably because this very type of personality quirk presented itself in his psyche profile) and is now wanting to show the police that he is smarter than they are. At this point it seems almost as if he is giving the finger to the authorities.

Why are people so quick to say this is not being done by someone with millitary experience? There's a lot of people who are or have been in the millitary, and I'm sure a decent numbr of them are barely-controlled nutjobs. Besides, it's not just skilled shooting he's showing off...he's able to pick spots in heavily traveled urban areas where he won't be spotted as he waits for a target, and then get away without being caught r even observed. Those aren't things hunters learn to do, no matter how many hours they log in at the range. That's why I'm thinking this guy had at least some millitary training, but was discharged under sheisty circumstances, and now he's all bitter...

As messed up as it is, you gotta give this guy some credit - he's like 10 for 12 or something. He's a good shot. I agree that he's definitely giving a big FU to the authorities...can't say that I blame him but, I'm guessing they'll catch him next month. I say November 14...any takers? <P>

I saw a news report that said that with modern "sights" mounted on a gun, an average person could easily kill someone from 100 feet away. Scary shit.
