disco still sucks (no matter what you call it)

the top ten songs in the country are mostly "dance" music.
call it what you will, but this shit sucks as bad as the crap that dominated music radio in the 70's.
this garbage has no musical value, none of this modern disco will ever be remembered except years from now on some bad compilation album.
this is the worst era in the history of music radio.

i think there is a huge difference in 70's disco and the dance crap that is out now. 70's disco had a lot of good songs with actual music. This crap out now that is dominating the charts is monotonous garbage.

Bubblegum is NOT Disco. Disco helped breed what we now know as hip-hop. Without disco, modern "electronica" would not exist. Shit, disco essentially merged with punk to make new wave. And, yeah, I know a bunch of you will cry about how horrible these genres all are, but trust me, you CAN dance to music and it doesn't have to be about suicide, having sex with the devil, or hating your dad for having a bigger penis than you.
