Conrats on sobriety Donnielimes. I'll have six years next month. It took a while before I got back in the saddle, and when I did there were some major improvements:
1. Quality control improved remarkably.
2. Memory of the event was much improved.
3. Ability to stay "in the game" much improved.
4. Ratio of attempts to successes increased.
5. The events were not overshadowed by fresh dents found on vehicle.
6. Reaction from friends changed from pointing and laughing to high-fives.
7. Repeat performances requested.
8. Oral abilities gone from eating ice cream after root canal to ability to make partner flop around and curse like the Exorcist.
9. Breath of partner greatly improved.
10. Tendency to fall asleep during performance reduced, (although not entirely eliminated in partner - but who cares?)
11. Moneyshot aim improved.
12. Regrets virtually eliminated.
13. Crazy positions no longer include falling on floor, headbutting partner, or doggie style in front of the toilet.
14. Fear of surprise "I'm going to keep the baby" or "You should see a doctor" phone call eliminated.
15. Ability and desire to look at partner in morning greatly improved.
16. Ability to distinguish between orafices improved.
17 And mot of all, desire and ability to see partner long into the future greatly enhanced.
Hang in there buddy, it's worth it.
