Wease Says NEW Has 6 Weeks... 2 Weeks Ago

Today on the Saturday
best-of Brother Wease, he
mentioned that he was
doing the show from the
WNEW studio in NYC. He
talked about how much
more amazing and
accomodating
the studio in NYC is, as
opposed to up in Rochester
where he usually
broadcasts. Wease
mentioned that he would be
doing a live show in the city
at NEW each week "for the
next 6 weeks, until the
station flips formats here in
New York City." Judging by
the dated topics of
discussion and news
stories (The Emmy's, crazy
mother Toogood, and the
baseball coach who got
attacked on the field), it is
apparent that this show
was taped around 2 to 3
weeks ago, gving WNEW
about 4 weeks left, if
Wease's statement was
accurate. Because this
topic is so sparse on
updates and constantly kept
under wraps, this is only
speculation, so don't
assume this is at all official.
But you hear so little about
the state of NEW that any
little piece of news is big.
Let's hope the remaining
time of NEW's current
format is enough time to fit
in the Halloween party Ron
& Fez have been planning...

He's just messing around like Ron does when he says the station is flipping to classic rock "next monday." I've heard Ronnie say that like 15 times since early September but yet Monday after Monday WNEW is still talk radio.

Wease is just playin around with how long its taking NEW to decide what to do. Don't worry......yet.

He said it very casually and
was clearly not aiming for
humor. He may have been
estimating or maybe he
knows something we don't
know, but if you heard it, you
could tell it wasn't Ron-style
teasing.

While i was travelling down south jersey, i heard a station that had oward in the morning, O&A in the drivehome slot, and college radio rock and metal everywhere else.
anybody know what station it was?
Listening o that station was like dying and going to heaven!

Thanks DMMoe... Once a week is even too much Brother Wease. I lived in Rochester for (3) years and up there they treat him like he's a "real" celebrity. After about a week of his stupid made up words and retarded banter I bought a Bee-Gees cd because it was more entertaining. We are all lucky we have R&F to listen to. If the worst happens and the boy's move to another station out of the area....I'm SUre there are some among us that could provide an accomodation...
