View Full Version : This week: WORST SNL EVER!
Cocky Friendly

I need to vent. Last night might have been the worst SNL I've ever seen. I mean, they've had shitty nights before, but Jesus Christ.
Chris Parnell (I think that's his name) ain't gonna work as George Bush if he's just gonna do a bad impression of Will Ferrell's impression.
The dentist skit had so much promise and ended so horribly. And that was a recurring theme all night. Whoever wrote the endings to the skits last night has obviously watched too much Monty Python. That said, at least as nonsensical and stupid as most Monty Python sketch endings were, at least they were that way so they could segue to the next skit, making it somewhat forgiveable. I don't know WHAT happened last night.
And I don't know what PC bleeding heart liberal wrote the Airline skit, but they need to be shot. The racial profiling jokes got no laughs. You know why? Because deep down, we know racial profiling isn't as bad as the media lets it out to be, especially in regards to airplane safety, dumbasses. It is so stupid that old white ladies are being searched and some of us WANT them to only search the terorist looking guys and leave us the fuck alone.
I swear, I didn't watch Week 1, but that show was so bad, it is actually frustrating. I mean, Christ, is Will Ferell missed THAT much? I hope this isn't a sign of this season's future, because when SNL has a bad year, it isn't just ugly, it's f'ugly.

I knew this season was going to be awful. Why? No "go-to cast member". First you had Phil Hartman, who was on for almost ten years, and could play ANY character in ANY sketch and make it hilarious. Then he left, SNL had no backbone, and the show was awful for about 2 years until Will Ferrell came on, and he became the show's backbone. Now he's gone, and the show will be awful for another 2-3 years until they find another guy like those two. And yes, GUY, because if there's one thing thing SNL has proven again and again, women are not funny.

That show was painful last night. Was there even a joke in that horrific monologue? That was cringe TV.

Damn right. His "Weekend Update" was by far the best. And the guy hated doing skits, but his impressions were killer...Burt Reynolds, Letterman, Tarantino, Bob Dole...

Norm McDonald is the most unfunny person alive. At a comedy show at a small CT college, he was booed off the stage and proceded to tell the crowd to f-off numerous times..it was the most pathetic thing I'd ever seen. He sucks.

I thought the funniest part was Dole cowering in fear under his blankets while overhearing the one roommate talk about a gay threesome he had.

I disagree. I didn't see last week's but episodes past were pretty good. She did a season finale one year that was downright hilarious. Her opening monologue that episode was everyone in the cast hitting on her. Will Ferrel said about 5 words and he still killed.
Also, the sketches when she was the teenage daughter and Will Ferrel and Ana Gasteyer were the parents at the dinner table were brilliant.

I thought that was the Heather Graham episode.

Well, Heather Graham hosted a season premiere once I think. It could be that that was the monologue for both shows.
Mojo, are you accusing SNL of using the same joke more than once?

It was so bad and during every bad bit I thought to myself that Will Ferrel could make this funny.
The show needs someone like him or Phil Hartman who can carry anything.
