I did not get stopped at all last night. But like I said I took all of the back roads and I left my office around 11pm. I did see the road blocks on the entrance to the beltway at route 50 and saw the helicopters flying over head. The roads were deserted last night.

I called the junkies to give them directions home. Some of my employees took 2 hours to get home last night (normally 20 -30 min drive).

By the time the cops blocked the road he should have been gone. The beltway or route 66 are very close to that location.

There were reporter all over the shopping center this morning. I kinda yelled at one for asking the same stupid questions of the police. The cops will only release so much info. Stop asking for info they can not give.

It is like the war on Iraq. Can you give the latitude and longitude of our troops and the next bombing location. Come on people we don't need to know everything. Let the cops do their jobs.

Ok...so I'm a new guy and I may be way off on this, but I drive down into VA every fall and I want the reassurance that this may be over, so here's my theory.
How many dead so far? 9...How many have been shot...11. Now if my theory holds true, this is exactly the number he(or them) wanted to reach. 9-11.
Now another part of my theory is the white van is a hoax...a decoy. One sets up for the shot in another car, the white van stays close by, when the shot is fired the white van flees, making everyone believe that the white van is involved somehow. Meanwhile, the other car (my theory...old station wagon...early 80s model with a roll down window in the back).
While I may be way off..and remember this is just something that's been rattling in my head since the last kill(monday). If this holds water...the shootings won't stop...they'll go North..then again this is just a theory.Now I need some sleep.

Sleep all day, party all night and live forever...what's wrong with that?

I really hope that they catch this guy soon, he is making an absolute mockery out of the Virginia police.Apparently, an easy thing to do. Being as I tend to think in scary ways sometimes, here's my breakdown: as of Monday, police are franticly trying to find this guy. Our sniper guy is a smart one...he's laying low for a couple days. The shootings will resume Friday or Monday. This guy is a phantom of sorts but, not dumb enough to make an ass out of law enforcement when three states and the military are looking. As with everything else, when nothing happens for a day or two, police will let their guard down...just enough then, another shooting. If I had a map in front of me, I'd even go so far as to say where. You'll only have to deal with your paranoia for another month...11/14 to be exact. That's when he'll be caught (my guess). As far as the judicial system go's, he's not dealing drugs or anything. He'll most likely go to jail and be out in 7 years. <P>

While I don't agree totally with pudthumper, I also think that the van/truck may be a red herring.

If the shootings take place in a busy area, there is a good chance that a common, everyday white van/truck of a similar make/model to what the police are talking about will be in the immediate vicinity. And it doesn't even need to by someone "working" with him. The guy just has to lie in wait for one to come by, then pick a victim.

While police are scrambling for this vehicle, because all the eyewitnesses talk about it, he escapes in some other type of vehicle or on foot. This is part of the reason the generalities of the vehicle are known, but the specifics are not.
