The responsiblity for the letter 'U' to be after the letter 'Q' all the time should be abolished. I think people know what sound the letter 'Q' makes. 'U' doesn't need to be used in this context anymore.

Does anyone think this is a good idea?

i'm not sure i quite understand... i mean, i understand the premise of your argument (which, by the way, i think is rather silly... while i appreciate your point, there would be way too much involved in getting rid of the q-u connection, and it really wouldnt help anything or make anything in the world better), but... if u always has to follow q, wouldnt that make u arguably the least lonely of all the letters? it always has a buddy

I am just saying thst there should be an evolution in spelling and omiting the q-u connection is the could be the first step. There could be other things that are not needed in our spelling. Can anyone think of any.

Actually, there are four U's in Scrabble. The loneliest letters are j, k, q, x, and z, with only one tile each in a full Scrabble bag.

Nice idea, but then we'd have to get Qatar (kahtar) to change it's pronounciation...not to mention persuading the Hebrews to change their alphabet, as qoph (koff) is their 19th letter. Lemme know how it turns out.
