I personaly agree with the choice of no nudity. I look at the site at work. When people post pics and stuff it makes it harder to see on the web. I also think there is plenty of stuff already out there. if you want to get your rocks off.. Great. Go to Google and find away. here is a place to exchange ideas, conversations. That's what makes the board great. So I support the MODS =)

philosophy that everyone
subscribed to. If you were truly
familiar with what this board
"professed" to, you'd realize that
we call ourselves "Disneyland"
with our tounges planted firmly in
our cheeks.

Yes, we have rules. Those rules
are simply pragmatic. We want
Ronfez.net to last and to last in
the form that it was created. And,
frankly, to this point it has
worked...and worked well. We
have basically the same core
group of posters. We don't have
warring factions. We have a
great relationship with the radio
show we are named after.
People genuinely enjoy what is
discussed here, not just who their
friends are.

From the moment I've
started posting, I've noticed that a
lot of you that "hate" the other
board seem to do exactly what
was the problem over there,
which is fight for no reason.

Officially, at least, we didn't HATE
the other board. We just simply
didn't want to take the same path
the other board took. So, in
essence, we LOVE the other
board. By learning from the
mistakes there, we've created a
great board here. And, we are
not prepared to let this place turn
into what that place became. I'm
sorry if that means you can't have
your fun.

We're having fun, and
people are laughing. If you didn't
find it funny, why knock it?

problem is that 4 people are
having fun and 4 people are
laughing while 200 people are
asking themselves "why the fuck
am I wasting my time reading
this?" Suprisingly enough, most
people clicked on the topic to this
thread cause they actually
wanted to see what the new
nudity policy was.

One of the main problems with
the other board, as many people
saw it, was that it got
tremendously boring to read.
Now, plenty of people, loved that
about the board. So, new boards
were created. Consider this the
board for people who wanted to
talk about ron and fez AND didn't
want to read a bunch of inside
jokes. There are plenty of other
boards that are ALL inside jokes
and it will be a cold day in hell
before ronfez is that.

We don't have anything against
inside jokes or the people who
tell them or even the boards that
are all about them. Go there,
have fun, I'll give you the
addresses if you need them.

No one is saying you can't have
fun, but if you want to chat, use
IMs. It's that simple.

so, what i'm seeing here is a bunch of people getting overly defensive, and i think that's what's causing the problems. rf regulars see the oa board go down and are immediately freaking out that a bunch of "those" people are gonna come to rf and ruin the board. the oa regulars just lost the place they enjoyed passing a lot of time so they came here and are immediately met with a lot of hostility from rf people. maybe everyone just needs to take a step back for a few minutes. fine, the first post states that there's no nudity allowed, i don't think it's open to discussion, so why keep reading the thread and let it bother you if it devolves into a chat? this thread probably wouldn't have gotten nearly so far if jeff hadn't posted the no defiling thread. but, that's just my opinion, and im wrong all the time...
