We use the expression "Eat shit and die" often.

Last night, I was wondering if I were stuck on the top of a mountain "Alive" style, but without the benefit of other people to eat as they died, could eating my own shit be an option? And, could I survive on it?

I don't know if I could honestly say that I would eat my own shit if I could eat it. Lot's of times, we'll say I'd rather eat shit than do "insert gross thing here." However, if I had to choose between living or dieing, I'd eat shit, unless it would kill me.

Don't ask me how, but today I found out that some cultures drink their own urine as a form of disease and infection control.

A producer named Tony was dared (staking $1,550) to drink his own piss on this morning's 'LA MEGA, 97.9' show.... He took a swig, and began to choke and kept puking minutes after it happened.. Weird - I had a rather lengthy post on this topic but it seems to have vanished.

The short version. Shit is really bad for you and can kill you. Unlike urine which is sterile, shit contains all kinds of icky bacteria. It can also transmit diseases.
