Ok, I'm probably one of a handful of people who feels this way, but in my opinion, Faith No More was one of the BEST metal bands of the 90's. Hands down, Angel Dust was the greatest record they put out (ok, King for a Day... was awesome, but it didn't have Jim Martin on it). I have a deep appreciation for all types of music (pop, punk, motown, funk, soul, classical, jazz, etc.) but wanted to voice my opinion on Mike Patton and Co. I'm sorry, but Korn, Limp Bizkit, etc. are all cheap knockoffs. What do YOU think?

Mike Patton can be heard on a Dillinger Escape Plan four song EP that is an interesting listen to say the least

but yes FNM rocks

I'd have to agree with you, they were one of the best, but I think the top best album is their second album, The Real Thing.

Have you listened to any Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Lovage, Tomahawk or Patton's solo stuff? Its all great to varying degrees. Patton is God.

Never forget Chuck Mosely. He was with the band when they released the classic "We Care A Lot"

my favorite cover song of all time is the cover of war pigs done by patton and company. bungle is absolutely awesome. his other stuff is cool. and if you actually can tolerate some weird musicianship but you can appreciate the amount of talent it takes to make their music then i think dillenger is one of the best bands out there as far as talent goes. i just dont think they show it the right way.

"Lovage" is a thing of beauty. But outside of "We Care A Lot", I have no use for Faith No More. Now as for Mr. Bungle, well, that's a different story...

I am a HUGE Faith No More fan. And I was seriously bummed out when they called it quits. Angel Dust, King for a Day, and Album of the Year are incredible albums. Real Thing is good, but not as good as the others. I like Intoduce Yourselves a lot, but I am loyal to the Patton stuff. I think "Digging the Grave" is one of the best songs ever. They were able to do it all. I saw them in 1995 at Roseland in NYC, and they friggin' rocked. I was very close to the stage and got my ass trounced. I also saw them in 1997. They don't make bands like that anymore.

I saw Mr. Bungle in Philly about 6 years ago when Disco Volante came out. Patton was wearing this leather gimp mask, prancing around like a psychopath. I was so excited, I started giggling like a schoolgirl! Hands down, it was one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. Trevor Roy Dunn is a bass god. Patton rules.
