man i love to gamble but i am godawful at it. i bet on football, baseball, and sometimes hockey but not really.

anyone big into gambling like me? and do you have any good tips for the love of christ?

I like to look through the paper when they have the "experts" make their picks on football games. Then find the one with the worst record (this chump is usually about 35%) and bet opposite him.

How about a thread in the game room where every week for the rest of the NFL season the lines are posted and people then post, lets say, their 4 best bets. And somehow we can keep track of who's doing well and who's not doing so well.

I have a mucho better way of winning easy ca$h from my amigos... I just bet on current events... I'm making huge bets with fellow high schoolers on whether the notoriously bad descision to send the seniors to Virgina for a canoo trip will end in some large amounts of sitting ducks... Waiting for the Beltway Beast or whatever the post calls him to take them all down... I also bet on religion. I made ten bucks betting on the Dali Lama, and twenty-five and some lose change betting on Muslim fanatics...

Sports betting is tough. It is almost impossible to figure the odds. (Too many factors) That's why the guys making money (sports betting) are doing it selling their info not betting. At least in casino games(craps/blackjack) the odds are set and you can use them to your advantage.

not big into gambling because in most cases you lose in the end...and I don't have money to lose...

tip/advice - if you continue to gamble try to:
whenever you get ahead, QUIT!
if your betting with the bookie they usually work on a 1 week basis...if you get up early in the week, QUIT! for that week. When Monday rolls around and your collecting you will be Happy and your developing discipline...
It's tough enough just to get ahead so don't lose it when you do...and set LIMITS for losing
don't say to yourself "yeah, but now I'm betting with their money, because you usually never are...

TRY THIS! If you feel you mostly lose then bet the
OPPOSITE of what you like...In theory you should now win most of your bets...
I've always thought about it but never did it...
