Ew.com has it right.

''The Amazing Spider-Man'' will swing into theaters May 7, 2004 (get ready, that's just over 560 days away). Promisingly, Michael Chabon, the Pulitzer-winning author of the comics-themed ''The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay,'' is the latest screenwriter toiling on the project (''Spider-Man'' writer David Koepp and ''Smallville'''s team of Alfred Gough and Miles Millar wrote previous drafts).

But a lot needs to happen before the Sam Raimi-helmed film begins productionHere are our unsolicited tips for the sequel.

1.Pick two great villains
2.keep it real
3. more jameson, please
4.embrace the love story

What's with this 2 villan crap. That is what ruined every Batman sequel.

I wish I had a Kryptonite cross, because then I could keep both Dracula and Superman away.

A good way to not screw it up is to just not make one.

IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

If it's two villians, they should make it Doc Ock and The Lizard. The Lizard's half a retard, so it's not like he's a "full" character. Venom is gonna be brought on for the third film...

Outside of the big stars, the only other cast confirmation is Bruce Campbell. That bodes well.

Figures. Bruce gets to be in a big ol' fancy-shamncy Hollywood-type flick, and he gets to play a character who's human for about ten minutes before he turns into a giant gecko.

Maybe they'll just douse him heavy with makeup, so he can still play it, like when he was "Evil Ash" in "Army of Darkness".

I actually saw "Serving Sara" in theaters just because he and Mike Judge were in it. Damn you, Bruce Campbell!

Here is what i would like to see, which i know isnt going to happen.

1) Harr Osborn takes over as the green goblin like in the comics... although this might be too soon and they could develop this character and then make him the main villain in the third movie to round out the trilogy.

2)Add Gwen Stacy to the mix so that we get that great love triangle mix, plus this adds the possibility of the "TRUE" gwen stacy bridge sequence in the third movie with harry as the goblin.

3)If your going to make the villians Doc Oc and the Lizard, make sure you have competent actors that have studied the character before hand. if Campbell is gonna play Connors he had better believable.

3)MORE JJJ

4)Now that the character seems more developed we should see how what the public thinks of him.

5) Last and Not Least...dont use Venom in any of these movies... he would end up having to be CG and who would you get to play eddie brock his alter ego? show me a profile of a competent actor whos over 6 feet, blond and built as hell.

those are my suggestions.

One word: Venom

and if you go for the two villain formula you GOTTA put in Carnage! that would be hot, but not for the first sequal, later on...

ill just repeat what i said before...there is no way symboites would work on film...Carnage you could do because Ed Norton would be the perfect Cletus Kassidy, BUT you cant do Venom, its just impossible and if someone has found an actor fitting Eddie Brocks physical description please RFMail me the link cause i would love to be proved wrong, Venom is my favorite spidey villian ever.
