Was I the only one made violently ill when the Undertaker went down to the ring to add to Brock's ever growing pile of insta-heat? I was SO glad when the Show threw him on that pile of kindergarten mats. I can only wish it was concrete because that whole debacle took like 45 minutes. The first 20 minutes was the Taker telling Brock how wonderful he is and Brock had to take ten for his non talking self to say (I'm paraphrasing here)"Hey Taker? You're pretty wonderful yourself" I wanted to slam my head into the wall outside simply because I needed to experience a different kind of pain. They wrecked what started out as a decent show and turned it into another chance to put more unearned insta-heat on Lesner because hey if Taker respects him he must REALLY be the next big thing right? (he said with sarcastic overtones) That being said it was good to see Double A again.
You're saying strange things....STOP IT!!!!

It was unnecessary and took too long. Oh nooo, Taker was thrown off the side of the stage by TBS onto a cardboard bed! The horror! Let's waste some time with selling this and ignoring more of the talent who could be in the ring at this moment! FUCK!
Is this a way to give Taker some days off with his "pregnant" wife?
Taker looked like a pussy when he gave props to Brock and then redeemed himself by telling TBS that he was "The Giant That Never Was."
The other problem with this portion of Smackdown! was that is exposed Brock's horrible mic skills and destroyed his aura of a non-feeling, killing machine. He got knocked down a peg after that segment.

No!!! i will disagree vehemently with you here, because it did exactly what was needed for the feud: it took it out of the soap opera.
Look we all know that wrestling is fake, but we like to suspend disbelief. It was a big deal for Taker to job to Brock in Hell in the Cell. Mark Calloway is a company man, and this shows it in a big way.
Taker's respect for brock is consistant with his character, if you can beat him, he will respect you; he doesn't make excuses. That's always been his thing. But brock's reaction-- that soft voice coming out of him, saying it was just business, because he needed an edge-- gave his character a new dimension. He came off as a guy who doesn't necessarily want to be malicious, he just wants to win. It's only because he's under the control of Paul Heyman that he does the things that he does. we're reminded that even though he's the champ, he's still an impressionable kid. I think it made Brock an incredibly complex character, someone who deserves to be cheered for

Yep!
The segment took way too long, good thing I was watching the program on tape. For the past two weeks I've also fast forwarded threw Cena/Kidman. I just don't care.

Does anybody else remember when HHH got chokelsammed onto the same stupid padding at Wrestlemania 17? It was just as bad then, getting thrown 50 feet off something on to pads wouldn't look good. I agree that the segment took too long, It was extremely boring to watch the undertaker fight off medics for 10 minutes. Well at least we got 2 good matches out of the night.
