A pretty significant election year. Some key seats in the House and Senate are up for grabs, along with a race for Governor that could end in an Independence victory.

"In war there is no substitute for victory."
-General Douglas MacArthur

"If gold should rust, what will iron do?"
-Geoffrey Chaucer

"Worship him, I beg you, in a way that is worthy of thinking beings.
-Romans 12:1

I don't know who will win the election, but I know who will lose - The American Public.

Some usefull tools to make voting decisions:

Project Vote Smart - Find out who your candidates are, see how various interest groups rate them, and see where they stand on issues through voting records and answers to the NPAT survey.

Opensecrets.org - Find out who your candidates are, how much money they've raised and from who. Click on "Congressional Races" for your state and district info.

DemocracyNet - Click on your state on the map and then on the office on the left hand bar to get to candidates and their answers to issue questions, (if any). This site's a little weak.

Does it matter? One party will sell us out for vast amounts of cash. Another will sell us out for TVs, cheap suits, or Fool's gold. A third party wants to stop all human advancement without any concept of evolution or the regular progression of time.

I'm voting for whatever candidate doesn't end his or her sentences with prepositions.

As a matter of fact, the way I see the political landscape shaping up in today's political climate is *stabbing sound*

....whew, christ, that was one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time...

I'd tell you who I was voting for, but that would negate the whole idea of secret ballot....

It's a political wasteland--for once
I would like to be able to cast my
vote for someone I believe would
be good for the people, instead of
trying to chose the least-worst
choice from a field of weak and
scary candidates.
