Last night, I'm chilling on the board. At around 1am, I try and check a thread I posted in, so I go to my profile to check all of my recent posts. When I do this, I see that my profile has changed, that someone had come in and puposely changed it. THey even posted under my name. Fortunatly, I was able to get my pw and edit the posts.....

Just a few minutes ago, I woke up, and came online and read the board. Somehow, I'm logged in, but not as The Jays....... I' LOGGED IN AS JACKIE SLOAN........ Is this some weird Halloween shit, or is something up with the site??

It's something wrong with the board. I was logged in as sevearl other people yesterday, and others were logged in as me and fucked with prior posts, ,made new posts saying things i wouldnt say. Its a glitch in the system, but its sad that we cant behave as adults. Pantera has been notified, and unfortunately, ,nothing can be done until Jeff gets back.

THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING GOING ON.. READ THIS EMAIL I SENT TO JEFF AND JUSTJON.. IT WILL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING.

I need your help, or someone who would know what is going on.

Friday evening on the RonFez.Net message board was a thread created by Armymad linking members to the chatroom... I read through it and found that christhecop was posting screwy things, 'becoming jackie sloan'.
Anyway, nothing happened when I clicked on the link, no chatroom came up so I exited the window and continued with the board.

I posted under '5 things on your mind right now' and I became Pantera. When I realized this, I posted immediately after and became Christhecop. Apparently someone else was under my screenname, and if it weren't the fact that the person under my name was taking advantage of the situation by being rude and nasty on the board (which I'm nothing like), it wouldn't bother me as much. Plus I started to think that someone was out to get me! *lol*

I used Christhecop's name to inform everyone what was going on... and after Pantera reset my password to 'AMERICA', everything worked fine.. I changed it to 'Apples27' and contined to post and edit several messages the other member posted. I logged out, and at one point had to log back in and I received the same error message again, as earlier: " There were errors with your submission. The username and password you entered did not match any accounts in our file. Please try again " I'm not sure if resetting the password only works until you log out again, or if it's the site that is having problems, but I am bringing this to your attention incase someone else is able to log-in as me and post mean things.

I appreciate you taking out the time to read this, I understand it's long, but I felt it had to be explained.

I can go a few days without posting, my main concern is losing my rf.net name, someone else having access to it, and posting as me to make me look bad and have me put on 'vacation'.

Please let me know what is going on, and what has to be done to settle this problem. Thank you again for your attention.

PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR URLS, FOLKS!

Especially if you are trying to LINK SOMEONE ELSE to a page - if you see on the end of the URL something that looks like:

&CFID=787560754&CFTOKEN=87547649856 (numbers are completely random in this example)

Be sure to REMOVE this part of the URL before you ever send it to anyone else. The rest of the URL should be okay, but this section would definitely cause such a problem, I saw it happen a while back on OA.com, and I PM'd Jeff earlier today with this info - hopefully it is the cause of the problem, and if so, the solution should be gravy.

GOOD NEWS! I have it on very good authority that the problem has been solved. Thanks to Jeff and the staff for whatever they did to end this seige, and I wish you luck in your pursuit of the extended vacation bound member who effed with our profiles/posts.
