As I sit here and listen(stupid FOX 5 cant show it on TV) to Emmitt Smith, my football idol, break Walter Payton's rushing record I can't help but wonder what everyone else thinks about the all-time leading rusher.
I'm a HUGE Emmitt fan but even I cant call him the best. Here's my top 3 rusher's of all time.
1. Jim Brown Greatest EVER. He was such a huge idol to so many people when he played. Brown broke the ruhing record and then set it to a level that not many thought would ever be broken. Jim Brown juked and jived and powered past countless defenders and will go down as the greatets RB ever.
2. Emmitt Smith. He didnt have the greatest moves or the fastest runs or the strongest stiff arms, but Emmitt never gave up. He is in his 13th NFL season and I dont think he has missed 10 games throughout his career. Emmitt was everything from Super Bowl MVP to league MVP to leader rusher in the NFL. He set a new NFL rushing record today and though it will be broken, I dont think the player who will break it is even in college football right now. Great job Emmitt.
3. Walter Payton. SWEETNESS. Payton had the moves, the strength, the will to win. When he broke Jim Brown's rushing record it was such a great accomplishment. Payton broke Brown's record and ran for over 4,000 more yards after that. He was such a great player that even Emmitt Smith still looks up to him, and I dont blame Emmitt.
Who does everyone else think is the greatest rusher?
