Ugh, such a tough choice.
I love how D'Onofrio is a diiiick in the nicest way.
Ice-T is fucking COOL on SVU.
And on the original, Elisabeth Rohm is just super hot.
Love 'em all. :)

I've noticed much more Oz characters than Sopranos characters on Law and Order- well Special Victims Unit really.
I think Special Victims is the best right now, I used to prefer Law and Order to it, but I don't like the chemistry between the black guy and the drunk now.

Criminal Intent is just an AWFUL show in my opinion. I can't STAND Donofrio in that role.

I've been checking out the past few weeks of the original and it has been pretty damn good.
If I'm picking, though I'd have to go with the D'Onofrio/Goldblum Criminal Intent.

Not so crazy about the newest original Law and Order cast, but over the years original Law and Order has probably had the best acting on television sans-Lost.

Canceled (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100514/ap_en_tv/us_tv_law___order)
NEW YORK – The venerable police-courtroom drama "Law & Order" has been axed.
NBC announced Friday that the show would end its historic 20-year run on May 24.
The show starred an ensemble cast of S. Epatha Merkerson, Jeremy Sisto, Anthony Anderson, Linus Roache, Alana De La Garza and Sam Waterston.
Even as it canceled the original "Law & Order," NBC announced a new drama in the "Law & Order" franchise called "LOLA" ("Law & Order: Los Angeles"). It will also renew "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" for a 12th season.

I wonder if any of the cast of L&O will show up on the others. There's no reason they couldn't, especially the DA's.
I mean, I just want Sam Waterson to stay employed. I don't want him to have to resort to hawking robot insurance.

Yeah I'm sorry to see the original go.
It's always been the most interesting as far as story/plot.
In the last few years the " Order " part hasn't held up it's end while I think the " Law " part was some of the best.
I'm not saying Bernard and Lupo were the best detectives they ever had but they were fun to watch and played off of each other very well.
I think they were too much into the " Ripped from the headlines " gig the last few seasons where it seemed like every episoded mirrored some recent event almost to the point where they seemed to jam stories together.
In the past they'd use a current event story as a minor background plot, and not even that often, but recently the current event aspect was the whole plot.
It stinks that they didn't know when they filmed the season finale that they wouldn't be renewed ( and I'm not sure why/how that was the case ) because they might've been able to give us a true series finale.
Well there's still reruns and as far as a drama goes it has some very high rewatchability pull.

Everyone brings up "what about a movie" whenever a major show ends. think this may be a solid opportunity to actually pull one off to give the characters some defining moments and closure to their archs. Plus, it would be about the length of the three episodes so it shouldnt be too much scratch to pull it all off. You'd have to think the audience would be there after 2 years on the air, right?

I didn't see the season/series finale so I'm not sure if they wrapped everything up or not.
I did hear that they are planning a L&O:LA which I think is an awful idea.
Why not keep the original one rolling instead of trying to make yet another cop drama in LA.
Might have something to do w/ the cost of filming but still I'd rather it just go away then be awful.

I didn't see the season/series finale so I'm not sure if they wrapped everything up or not.
They filmed it before it was canceled. But it still had an "end of the run" feel to it though. The Captain's cancer was in remission at the very end. I have a feeling they may have re filmed that. Since she was already planning to leave to deal with her real cancer, it wouldn't have made much sense to have her get better on her last show.

Last Saturday/Sunday on the 5AM TNT viewing, it was one of the first teams of Logan & Cerreta with the A.D.A. team of Stone and Robinette, and who shows up as the defense attorney but none other but ol' "Lennie Briscoe" Jerry Orbach.
I love it when stuff like that happens.
So, in honor of the passing of the original getting canned, I ask you:
What was your favorite team(detectives, D.A.s or both) on the original show????
I'm going with Briscoe & Green and McCoy & Ross.

What was your favorite team(detectives, D.A.s or both) on the original show????
That's too tough for me.
Cerreta was Paul Sorvino correct ?
I can say that my least favorite detectives were Dzunda and Imperioli ( for the few he was in ) and it's not that I disliked either of them just that they weren't that good.
I loved Farina in the short time he was on the show.
As far as the " Order " part goes I can only say that I wasn't in love w/ Hennessy or the actress that played Borgia. The new DA guy was pretty lame.
What about favorite judge ?
I always liked seeing Morty/Mickey from " Meatballs " but as fas as rulings go I can't think of the name of the guy I liked most.
And i dont think i can take Jeff Goldblaume as a serious detective.
I don't mind him so far. He's no Goren but he's been entertaining.
The episodes have sucked ( especially last week's one about the murdered publisher ) which has hurt his role.
Adding Mastrantonio was a bad move in my belief because I should have her on my list of " Hate Everything They Are In " list.
She looks like a spider.
