You must set the ad_network_ads.txt file to be writable (check file name as well).

I just recently bought the game for PS2 and seem to be running into the same problem. Everytime at the half for some reason my 2nd or 3rd stringers are all playing. It's not hard putting the starters back in, but it is a pain in the ass to do every game. Anyone else run into this problem? I can't figure out how to fix it.

Are you in the pre-season?

If you are in the pre-season of either Season or Franchise mode, the substitutions are made by the computer. Also, check gameplay settings. You can adjust the frequency of substitutions.

That definitely sounds like pre-season of franchise mode. I had the same problem and felt pretty damn retarded when I figured it out.

yeah it is in Franchise mode. i'll mess around with it when I get home. Thanks for the help.

i wish they had never gotten rid of the "mass substitution" option to put in an entire 1st or 2d team..

Franchise mode is cool, but thirty seasons?!? I'll be playing nothing else until Madden 2004.
