I saw that on the news. They actually played a tape of the guy telling the caller to stick the trap with the cat in it in a trash can full of water and put the lid on and the cat should drown in a few minutes. Pretty gross.

can't see myself killing an animal although I've run over many(not on purpose) i've killed deer, fox, raccoon, squirrel, possum, rabbit, cat(broke my heart), frogs, and last month i clipped a large hawk with my windshield(he thought and I thought he/she would fly away just in time just as all birds seem to do) didn't seem to kill him though but heard a loud bang along the roof and had marks on my windshield...
the best alternative is to get them to an animal shelter or have them captured by a pro and have it done humanely...
if you know they won't be finding a home...
