It looks like last year was a fluke. So far, this team is showing signs of the late 90's and early 2000 teams. As a die hard Islander fan, I do not want to go through another losing streak. Might as well bring back Ron Hextall, Kirk Muller and Rich Pilon. No more fish sticks!!!!

Dude, it is still only one week of playing hockey...yes they will struggle until Peca returns but dont sell the boat already just cause there is low tide. Hang in there...I dont know if many people remember, but the 1998 record setting NY Yankees (and as many know I am a Mets fan), started there season off horribly. They went 2-7 in there first week, and then went on to win 112 more games...so you must be patient. Dont give up on things so quickly...

I know...I know. I just get frustrated easily. My friend and I were sayin yesterday that if they are .500 when Peca returns, we should be alright. I guess after last years 9-0-1-1 or whatever it was, I was expecting more.
