Listening about Ron and Fez talking about these Native American team names, and being a 2002 graduate of Sewanhaka High School, a school they mentioned several times last night, I just got to mention this. I would've called in, but I missed the live show and I'm listening to the replay now.
There was a whole lot of talk in the last 2 years I went to Sewanhaka about what we are changing our name to. And, since our school is on a street called "Tulip Avenue," we were going to change our team name to the "Sewanhaka Tulips." Don't know what happened, though, and it seems they still have the Indians as a name, and this is the first time I hear that they're almost the only school in New York that is refusing to change their name? This is the only thing that bitch of a principal that's there is finally doing right.
Oh, and just a horrible piece of trivia: Sewanhaka is the alma mater of Vinny Testaverde, and not very proud of it.
