Saw something on the NYRMB that said R&F were acting like this was the final week for WNEW's format. This is definatly NOT GOOD!
Of course I replied on there that unless you hear it at the 11:00 sign off, or Infinity announces that the switch will happen the show is still just a "Dead Show Talking" (okay, bad pun I know)
But the question is though, should Ron and Fez deserve a send off show? I mean they've been complete professional troopers through all of the WNEW bullshit, ESPECIALLY and SPECFICALLY the last three months where I wouldn't blame them for going all FU to Infinity while waiting for the end. Granted one could say that their actual raitings don't neccessarily warrant a "So Long and thanks for the ride" show, but considering the totality of the "grand experiment" they do deserve that kind of treatment.
Of course there is the "won't DC at WJFK be confused as hell, here is a show talking about going off the air WTF?" well my response would be, run a best of at WJFK and be on the air live in NYC, or do a small part of the 2-7 slot live as a "Goodbye New York, I could have missed the pain but I would have missed the dance" show before starting the live DC show at 7.
Of course I'm hoping a certain cranky curmdugen lets them do a show on KROCK, or that the next WNEW format is such that a show like R&F would work (like O&A prior to the Extreme Talk flip)
