As far as Govener goes I hope to see Pataki sweep Golosono off his feet, and fall flat on his fat ass. Mcall has no shot in hell in winning allthough endorsed by Former Pres Clinton. I really cant wait for these stupid "mudslinging" ads to end. So remember its your constitional right, GET OUT THERE AND MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT

i can't forget to vote I am working at the polls for 15 hours tommorow. It is a whole day of trying to teach old people to use a computer basiclly, how fun does that sound? I get 200 dollars though and I am fulfilling my civic duty as an american, but mostly it is the 200 dollars. Besides where is a better place for a 21 year old to pick up 81 year old chicks?

Fact: A cat will always blink when hit on the head with a hammer. Thats a fact.

Thank you for starting a THREAD about this. I, and i assume all of us, had to go read my rfmail about it. THIS is how u reach 13,000 people. not by sending them yet another junkmail from rf.net. forgive me, but I'm right.

Here in the Socialist Republic of New Jersey my vote rarely counts, but I do it anyway. It's your duty as an American not only to vote, but to be informed about the issues and candidates.

Thanks, PanterA!

It's not as bad as DC. My vote literally does not count since our Delegate is a non-voting member of Congress.

Taxation without representation -- lovely.

I voted. I was #97. I was
surprised to see there was
a proposition to vote on in
NYC. I didn't hear anything
about it.

1. The person must be a Republican
2. They must not run negitive ads.

Therefore, Galasono looses in both. I will not vote for him.

If you were admitted as New Columbia, the 51st state, Congress would stop kicking you guys around. As long as you are a "district," they can (and do) yank all powers away from your elected officials. You guys need statehood. As soon as you are on permanently equal ground with the 50 other states, power will be irrevocable in New Columbia.

Well, to buy a place I'm thinking about it.

The problem is that I shouldn't have to. DC pays taxes and we don't have a vote in Congress. That is not right. I have a big problem with the GOP on this one. They argue "states rights" and we in DC are being denied ours for political purposes. One more solid Democratic vote in the House will not make that much of a difference.

There is more than 2 choices. If you didn't find ANY party you like (and that is especially difficult in NY), then you shouldn't be in this country. Most of the world doesn't get to choose, so appreciate what you have. Since all the candidates seem to be beneath your vote, at least vote for yourself. Or, it doesn;t hurt to write-in "John McCain."

Hey, on my machine, you can select "none of the above", or "abstain". At least have the integrity to do that. Plus you're not just voting on new elected officials, this is when you vote on new laws and bills being passed that effect your community. Not voting period is just lazy and gutless.
