Maybe I missed something, but why did R&F say Letterman would be in studio? It seems a little out of character for R&F to mislead their audience that way.

It wasn't so much an effort
to "mislead" the audience,
but just to poke fun at the
retarded idea that is
broadcasting the audio of
Letterman's show on the
radio. Just about everyone
knew that Letterman wasn't
actually doing a radio show
in the studio. Let's face it. It
IS retarded. The target
audience is basically
people who are big
Letterman fans, but happen
to be driving in their cars at
11:35. That's not a very
wide demo if you ask me.
CBS will do whatever
they want to promote
Letterman, cuz they CAN, although I don't relly see why an established show like Letterman's needs much promotion at this point.
But still, it beats Loveline.

I somehow doubt that a regular
listener would be misled quite so
easily.

The show does NOT work on
radio either. I really feel sorry for
the remaining sales people at
WNEW.

You would think so...but people were actually calling in to talk to Dave. I kinda felt bad for them...I wonder how long they stayed on hold before they figured it out.

Damnit I couldn't listen tonight *sigh*. There are days I wish I was single so I could listen to Ron and Fez.

I flipped on my radio some time after midnight and heard dave (forgot he was starting last nite), and even he made a joke about it. While talking to Robin Williams, he said "nice of you to do a joke that the radio audience can appreciate." Even the woman on after Robin was doing visual references. It was awful.

Well, if I am in the car at 11:35 (happens frequently), I definately will be listening to Letterman. Count me in that niche market. And it most definately beats love lines.
