1. Joe Montana- The Man!
2. Johnny Unitas- The first great modern day QB
3. John Elway- I hate him, but ya can't deny.
4. Brett Favre- My favorite current player. Awesome passer, great scrambler and a tough sumbitch.
5. Marino- The ring's the thing buddy.
6. Bobby Layne- Perhaps the drunkest man in the history of the NFL. Also one of the best.
7. Terry Bradshaw- K-A-T!
8,9- Otto Graham and Sammy Baugh- Don't know much about them, but they are NFL greats so they belong here.
10. Phil Simms- This spot probably belongs to Aikman but I'm a Giant fan so the Cowboys can stick it!

1 - Joe Montana, thats a given.
2 - Johnny Unitas, cant argue tis.
3 - Dan Marino, you put him at 5??? Thats disgusting.
4 - John Elway, great passer and I cant deny him of that. I do hate him though.
5 - Warren Moon, One of the best ever...how Phil Simms made your top 10 and Moon didnt is beyond me.
6 - Brett Favre, a superb player and will move up a few spots in my top 10 by the time he retires.
7 - Randall Cunningham, the first GREAT NFL scrambler. The problem is, he was a much better runner then passer, just like another current Philly QB.
8 - Joe Namath, great guy, great QB.
9 - Roger Staubach, greatest Dallas QB ever followed by....
10- Troy Aikman, its really too bad the injuries caught up with him. He should still be throwing passes to Joey Galloway and Antonio Bryant today.

Choosing Vick is a joke at this point!
And Randall surely doesn't belong on any of those lists.
And where is a man in the top five of every statistical category for QB's, DAN FOUTS! Perhaps one of the most exciting offensive teams in the history of the NFL, and it didn't last a year and a half as in Minn.

1)Johnny Unitas- Old-timer who will never be topped (Bought an arena football 2 team, the Wilkes-Barre Pioneers, so I give him some bonus points)
2)Joe Namath- What more can I say about the man who took the Jets to their only Super Bowl and won it. Also taught us that there is nothing funny about vapor lock.
3) John Elway- after falling short of Super Bowl in his youth, made his return twice at the end of his career and won each time. A true class act who left at the pinnacle of success. (Now the owner of the AFL's Colorado Crush so it helped my decision making)
4) Dan Marino- Had an assortment of decent receivers, but never a running back. Still, however, he managed to take the Dolphins to a Super Bowl while still in his youth. One of history's most consistent players ever. (Would be #3, but decided not to buy an arena football team so I dropped him a space)
5) Joe Montana- Great QB, but I don't give him quite as much credit because he had a lot more to work with. Also gave a very impressive performance as a Chief, taking them to the AFC Championship. One of the few QB's to continue success after a trade.
6) Troy Aikman- Like Montana, had a lot to work with. Unlike Montana, had a lot more to work with and did not meet the challenge when he didn't have the staff. Still, 3 rings doesn't lie.
7) Jim Kelly- Never got a ring, but still a consistent QB who made it to the Super Bowl plenty of times.
8) Terry Bradshaw- A really good stroy of a would-be Ryan Leaf who had the common sense to turn his life around and became one of the all-time greats.
9) Randall Cunningham- great QB who, unfortunately for him, only had flashes of greatness in his stints with Philadelphia and Minnesota
10) Jim Zorn- Unfortunately for him, he never really had anyone besides Steve Largent. All-time underrated player

I agree with Gvac on the Fran Tarkenton point.
He was the original scrambling quarterback who through for a ton of yards as well.
You'd have to include Dan Fouts, no doubt, on any top ten list as well as Montana, Unitas, Marino, Elway, Moon, Baugh, maybe Bradshaw.
But Randall Cunningham? Mike Vick? Why not Bubby Brister then?

I put him at ten cuz he is good for right now there is no doubt that, he will be one of the greats just as long as he stays healthy.

Earth to Ron (literally)
Vick may have great speed, a strong arm and a decent start, but that doesn't even come close to warrant a top ten of all time. Save his name for the future ten QB's thread with the likes of Harrington, Brees, Carr, Brady and Brooks.
Many athletes have great abilities, it is those that truly harness them that become the best. Yet many don't have the raw skills but do in fact play at another level due to leadership and an inhuman drive to win. Anyone remember Montana? His arm was weak compared to middle of the road QB's of today's game. Yet it was his timing, placement and decision making that places him in my top one!

1)Unitas- 47 straight games with a TD pass is unbelieveable in itself, but more so he did it in the era he did it in..no tougher guy ever. i love the story of how the LB knocked him down, then the next play Johnny let him through and broke the guys nose with the football
2)Elway- i hate the broncos with every bone in my body as an oakland fan, but there was no one more clutch
3)Favre-if i had to win one game id pick him to be my QB
4)Dan Marino- greatest statQB ever, i mean the guy threw 48 TD's in a year, which no one has come near yet, plus i believe he threw for the equivalent of over 33 miles in his career..
5)Montana- i kinda think Montana is overrated, because he was a great system
QB who happened to be in the greatest offensive scheme ever developed(the west coast offence), plus some guy named Jerry Rice in his prime
6)Phil Simms- guy never really made mistakes, he just went out there and dominated...22-25 in the super bowl against Denver
7)Roger Staubach- another guy whose team i hate, but an awful good QB
8)Steve Young- highest QB rating in history, also best running QB ever
9)Sammy Baugh- how great was this guy? hes the only guy in NFL history to lead the league in passing, interceptions, and punting in the same year. plus i believe hes the only guy to throw a TD pass in three different decades
10) sentimental pick, my boy Ken Stabler. always a legend in my heart for plays like the sea of hands, and destroying the Vikings in the Super Bowl
Honorable Mention: Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, Earl Morrall, Billy Kilmer, Sonny Jurgenson, Archie Manning
"People try to say what goes on between Al Davis and the league doesn't effect what happens on the field, but there's no way you can tell me that's so"

Kosar is the man!!!!!! What are you talking about? I'll take him over Phil Simms anyday.
If we're going old school QB's I'll take Bart Starr.
