I'm sure there's been a thread dealing with this before, but the recent, imminent threat of losing Ron and Fez has set me to reminiscing. What do you think are the greatest Ron and Fez moments? I'm not talking about the ongoing bits, Fez being Lutheran, Ronnie's movie life experiences, Andre and the callers, What does Aquaman eat?, and the like. I'm talking about the one shot deals. Singular moments in the show that encapsulate the greatness of Ron and Fez. Here's my top five.

5. Jesus vs. Ganesh - The back and forth between the two of them was so perfectly executed. When Ron said he wanted to see Ganesh vs. John Tesh, I vomited I laughed so hard.

4. Kids Fight Club - This was back in the .com days. It lasted for a while. I was a regular listener already, but it really was the bit that made me understand the treat I was getting by hearing the show.

3. Al pees his pants - You know he would appear on here somewhere. What a moment in Ron/Fez history, just hilarious.

2. Producer Hill - The show was winding down. Ron, Fez and Joe Poo took us on a tour of the hill, cataloging the remains of former producers of the show, Vietnam style. From the background Doors music, to the whispered 'seeyuhs' at the end. Perhaps the most inspired bit of radio ever, if not for . . .

1. "Hello, this is Rutger. You're on the air".- It was at the end of a double shift week, a Thursday night if I remember correctly. R and F were punchy. Anthony, 'the coffee machine guy' was sitting in. Rutger was also a little off, after a long flight, so he claimed. It was just one of those cosmic events where everything lined up. From Fez's feat of strength carrying the cart rack, to the walk out, I sat there, slack-jawed, just completely in awe of what I was hearing. I was too amazed even to laugh, even though I knew it was funny as hell.

If indeed what is rumored comes to pass, and I know we're trying like hell to stop it, I'm really going to miss the show. Sorry if this is a downer.

I know its not really a bit, but the funniest thing I heard in a long time was Ronnie mentions a bag of coke (too long to go into why he did) and then says "I know Hawk, Coke comes in cans. So does Fez."

I almost died.

There are countless bits which have really cracked me up but one of the more recent ones was when Ron "reenacted" Apocalypse Now with Fez while they struggled thru the jungles of Nam, and then killing the pizza delivery boy to the whisper of "This duck still alive"...

See Ya!

He stopped doing it for a while and I missed it.He did it yesterday. I like when Al was screaming "WHAT DO I HAVE TO SAY, THIS IS NOT A BIT!" to gay randy. That was so fuckin funny. Then, it was great when they turned it into a drop... boy, i miss those Al drops

Two great bits:
1. The bit where they played the Apocalypse Now Doors track and Ronnie was going on about "still Saigon... Every day I'm here, Charlie is out there in the bush... I can hear him now...*whispering* "This duck still alive!!!"

2. Horrible things you did to your mother... The guy whose mom found a gram of coke in his laundry... Ronnie's description "...pair of jeans peeking out the top of the washing machine, all paranoid...'shh! I think it's the cops'"

The best bit by far is Superstar! I love Paul-O. The Comedy Pyramid is terrific! However, the Superstar segments are the best! Too bad they can't do them as often, When Ron asks if feeding a baby to a dog is Good or Not Good... Well the whole thing is sinfully funny! I'm sorry that they can't have him on more. Since they went to nights and started moving back and forth he's fallen by the wayside. The D.C. folks are missing out on a great bit!

Yeah, "Latter Day Harry Potter" was a trip - especially since "Harry" didn't know a thing about the movie...

I must say, though, that one of the times I've laughed the hardest was a few days ago, when they were comparing Wonderboy's toothbrush to a dog's ass. Seriously messed up...

The Immunity Cowbell Challenges from The Dot Com Days, along with Kid's Fight Club
Back in Nam were always great bits
But of all times, I would have to say Mid day comic book bit, when the boys were talking about Dumpy's love for comics and then "If superman and Supergirl were to have a mongoloid child. . ." bit

Hands down, my favorite bit: Ron and Fez bring in a psychic to tell them about their dead loved ones and Ron has an absolute ball making an ass outta that guy LOL. I think I died of laughter twice during that one.

Hands down, my favorite bit: Ron &f ez bring in a psychic to tell them about their dead loved ones & Ron has an absolute ball making an ass outta that guy...

I was trying to explain to someone just the other day how fucking funny that bit was. I don't know if Ron planned all along to do that to him, or just started making it up b/c the segment was bringing the show to a screeching hault, but it was comedy genius.

The topper of the whole thing was, after 10 minutes of Ronnie making up ridiculous stories to go along with everything the psychic brought up...it was starting to get obvious b/c Ron was tying everything to himself, and then the guy asks, "Does someone have a tie to Niagra Falls?" I nearly fell out of my friggin chair....and they went on for another 5 minutes of great stuff.

BUT, the best bits of all time are THE NATURE BOY! I'm so starved for those bits, I actually ordered the Ron&Ron Show CD with just Fez' old Nature Boy bits. I only wish there was a CD of the ones he's done since coming to WNEW, I would pay BIG BUCKS for that.

...silent, but violent.

My absolute favorite was when Ron and Fez were interviewing the 71 Ds girl. One caller said she had more balls bouncing off her nose than a circus seal, and another said she would have to be buried in a Y-shaped coffin. Priceless!

Not really a bit, but the time I think it was Mikey D saved someones life. Ron remembered the time he saved someones life. He was all coked up and he pointed a gun to his girlfriends head. He spared her life. He's my hero!!!

It would be nothing short of impossible for me to recount every time Ron and Fez had me laughing to the point of hysteria, but two bits will always stand out in my mind. Both happenned when they first moved from overnights to the 12-3 PM slot, and both times I had to literally pull over while driving because the tears where streaming down my face and I couldn't catch my breath.

One was when Iris called in to report that a gunman had been nabbed by the Secret Service as he fired at the White House. "Nixon is dead - I repeat, Nixon is dead."

The other was a Fezitorial on the split of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.

I had been a fan of the show before, but these two bits turned me into a bona fide fanatic.
