November 15th Show

Maybe it's just me, but Friday's show had an end of an era vibe to it. Bringing back Psycho Mark and some of the other characters from that unnamable other show seemed to be R&F's salute to an (almost) bygone era: the AFRO age, when I left my radio on pretty much one station for most of my non-work day and could be sure there would entertainment just streaming out on a consistent basis. I sat in my car in a parking lot for an hour listening until the show was over last night because I had an unnerving sense of dread the Boyz were going to say See Ya to NY for the last time. I'm not sure what the Tom Waits(?) song meant.

I'm continuing to write letters and fund any good ideas for getting the Save Ron & Fez in NY campaign message out. I hope I'm wrong and things return to what passes for normal these days come Monday at 7:00 PM.

Whatever the reason for the Tom Waits song at the end, it was brilliant, as is the show. My great regret is that if not for meeting Too Cute, I would never had been turned on to Ron and Fez (I never before listened to radio - I even met Anthony at the Night of Frights, spoke to him for 10 minutes and didn't know who he was until Too Cute told me why everyone was staring at me). The show is more addicting than Vicodin, and doesn't turn your liver to pudding or make you constipated like Vikes do. Perhaps the Tom Waits song was both a testament to the fact the these guys have great taste in music and were not drinking while the rest were consuming all things ethyl with the fervor of a wildebeest at the sole watering hole at the Masai Mara game preserve during dry season. Bottom line, Miss Cleo is finally off the air, LET'S ALL WORK TO MAKE SURE RON AND FEZ STAY ON!!!!!!!!!!!! <P>

It was definitely a fun show, I thought it was a great way to chill out and relax on a friday night after a long week. Everyone did great :)

I have a feeling he and his crew were quite in the middle of drinking, hear that R&F will have a party and decided to crash (well he did warn Ron that he was coming)

Turns out they crashed at the wrong time! Before the fun started, though that contest would have been more brutal if it was just R&F and crew with them.

To paraphrase Superstar, "A famous friend and crew crash the show in mid of a bad contest, GOOD! A bad contest with just Ron and Fez and their crew, NOT GOOD!"
