My old JHS classmate just paralyzed Tommy Maddox

the Steelers QB got drilled by Titians OLB Keith Bullock. He was unconscious for 15 minutes, and when he woke up, he had no feeling in his body. They had to cart the poor bastard away.

I went to school with Keith. We were in the same gym class in JHS. I always remember him being a very decent guy (when i used to get tortured by the other kids in class, he never joined in). I don't think he's changed much. if you look at the video of them taking Maddox away, you can see the look on Bullock's face: pure terror.

Seriously though, when I saw the replay, I was a bit surprised to see that hit caused that much damage. It was clean as far as I could tell anyway and didn't appear to be much of anything. His grief did look genuine for what he did.

I haven't heard anything this morning, but last night they said the injussry was only a bruise to the spine and Maddox had some feeling in his extremities.
